MID SOX features
The Mid Sox has a two-tone design and comes with several features. The top of the sock is slightly thinner than the sole, which offers a little more cushioning for the arch of the foot. Thanks to the compression, the sock fits snugly yet still feels soft and doesn't get uncomfortably hot. That's down to the material, which is more functional than classic (organic) cotton: thanks to polyamide – also known as nylon – and the addition of extremely stretchy elastane (also known by the brand names Lycra and Spandex), the MID SOX is very tear-resistant and keeps its shape, while still absorbing sweat and retaining unpleasant odours (yes, socks can have those) less than cotton.
And one more little detail: we deliberately don't mark our socks with R and L, as no anatomically shaped socks are made for a right or left foot. Too often, after putting on sports socks, we've noticed the letter was on the "wrong" side. It makes no difference to comfort, but it does look a bit funny. So we leave the right/left marking off our socks.

How does compression work?
Compression comes from Latin and can be translated as "pressing together" or "embrace". From a sports medicine perspective, it's all about promoting circulation: the relatively snug fit of the MID SOX increases the mechanical pressure on the veins in the foot and ankle, which improves the return of deoxygenated blood. As a result, blood circulates slightly faster through the body, which can lead to better performance. Our MID SOX also has a stabilising effect that provides more security and gives your joints those few extra percentage points of protection during sport that can sometimes make all the difference.

We mainly use polyamide fibres made from recycled plastic bottles.
