Your Fitting is done – here is what happens next

Your values are saved with us: string pattern, length, weight, swingweight, grip, string type and string tension. You don't have to enter anything. Here is how you order your racket and what each value does in your game.

Your next steps

Great that you completed your myRacket Fitting. Your configuration is in our system, matched to your game, your technique and your body. Here is how it becomes your racket:

1. Order the racket

For the custom racket, choose the string pattern as in your Fitting, plus colour, grommet strip and quantity. We take length, weight, swingweight and grip from your Fitting and check every racket before shipping. If you are ordering for someone else, please state the name in the cart under "Special notes".

2. Add stringing

We deliver custom rackets without strings. With the stringing service it arrives ready to play: you choose string and gauge as recommended in your Fitting.

3. Re-Fitting when your game changes

After about twelve months, after an injury or a leap in performance, we check your values again. Your configuration stays on file with us, also for identical rebuilds.

Your values explained

String pattern

The string pattern (e.g. 16x19 or 18x20) influences control, spin and power.

  • Dense string pattern (18x20) → more control and durability
  • Open string pattern (16x19) → more spin and power

In the Fitting we determine which combination best supports your style of play.

Selectable at myRacket: 16x19 or 18x20 (Carbon Black only 18x20).

Length

Racket length influences leverage, hitting depth and
power.

  • Longer rackets generate more power and reach.
  • Shorter rackets offer more agility and precision.

The optimal length depends on your technique, backswing and height.

Many top players use extended rackets – often with a surprising effect.

Especially for groundstrokes, but also for the serve, a longer racket can be a real game changer.

At the same time it can more than make up for a lower weight.

Selectable at myRacket: 67.5 to 73 cm. Standard rackets are usually 68.5 cm long.

Weight

The frame weight has a great influence on stability, swing behaviour and arm protection.

  • Lighter rackets are more manoeuvrable, more comfortable and often easier on the arm.
  • Heavier rackets offer more penetration and stability.

Lesson learned:

With a slightly lighter racket you often even achieve more power, because you can swing more relaxed and hit the ball more often in the optimal contact zone.

In the Fitting we test in which weight range you achieve the best combination of control, feel and durability.

Selectable at myRacket: 250 to 330 g.

Swingweight

The swingweight describes how "light" or "sluggish" your racket feels when swinging.

  • Higher swingweight → more stable shot, more penetration
  • Lower swingweight → better handling and a faster feel

The ideal balance provides the right timing, precision and rhythm in your movements.

Selectable at myRacket: swingweight 245 to 340.

Grip

The grip is your direct point of contact with the racket and influences control, feel and injury prevention.

  • Grip too large → restricted mobility and stiffness
  • Grip too small → less stability and control

myRacket uses state-of-the-art 3D printing technology to adapt grip size and shape exactly to your hand.

This creates a perfect fit with harmonious weight distribution – sustainable, individual and player-friendly.

Head size

The head size determines the sweet spot, the forgiveness and the control behaviour of the racket.

  • Larger racket head → more forgiveness and comfort
  • Smaller racket head → more precise feedback and a more direct feel

In the Fitting we choose the head size that best suits your contact behaviour and player type.

Balance

The balance shows how the weight is distributed in the racket.

  • Head-heavy
    → more power and penetration
  • Handle-heavy
    → more control and manoeuvrability

In the Fitting the balance point is chosen so that it fits your swing behaviour perfectly and optimally supports your timing.

String type

The string also has a say in feel, spin, comfort and durability. Three basic types:

  • Polyester (mono) → control, spin and durability, for fast swings
  • Multifilament → comfort, arm protection and light power
  • Hybrid → two strings combined, for example spin in the mains and comfort in the crosses

In the Fitting we determine which string and which gauge suit your game. Our standard recommendation is the myRacket BEAST, an all-rounder with plenty of power, durable and easy on the arm. We also string with Kirschbaum strings.

String tension (kilos)

The string tension indicates how much pull the string is strung into the frame with, stated in kilograms. It influences control, power and arm protection.

  • More kilos (harder) → more control and precision, shorter ball contact
  • Fewer kilos (softer) → more power and comfort, longer ball contact

Your value from the Fitting matches string, string pattern and stroke technique. With the stringing service we string with exactly these kilos, you don't have to state anything.
